How did you become interested in working with international students?
When I moved to Seattle for undergrad, I knew I wanted to learn more about other cultures, and so I studied abroad in Granada, Spain. I earned my undergraduate degree in International Studies and Spanish, which then led me to work in the travel industry for 6.5 years, traveling all over the world. In 2022, I combined my passion for the power of education with my love of learning about other cultures and became an international student advisor!
Are you originally from Seattle? If not, where are you originally from and how did you end up in Seattle?
I am originally from Spokane, Washington, although I have been in Seattle since 2010.
Do you have any pets?
I have three fur-babies: a corgi named Waffles and two cats, Titan and Pumpkin. I also have a human daughter named Annabell!
Where is your favorite place in the world or a place you’d like to visit next?
I have been to 26+ countries on six continents, and I really want to get to my last continent: Antartica! I would also love to go back to Peru, the Galapagos, or the Philippines.
Anything you want international students to know about you?
I can’t wait to work with you!
